Mimi spirits are fairy-like creatures. They belong to the Arnhem Land of the Aboriginal Australians of the Northern Territory.
For my year 12 art major work I created a series of skateboard decks and a surfboard.

These items all portrayed my redesign of the Mimi spirits.

This work was made using plywood skateboard desks, a recycled surfboard, posca paint markers, gold leaf, leaf size, oil based gloss varnish and recycled skateboard trucks and wheels.
